Retrieving projects from Trados Customer Portal
You can retrieve completed projects in two ways: download the files to your local computer or upload the files back to their original repository.
Procedure
- Log in to your Trados Customer Portal account.
- Go to All Projects and identify the project.
- To download the files, do one of the following:
- Select Download to download only the target files to your local computer.
- Select Include Source Files to download both the target and the source files to your local computer.
- Select Include Reference Files to download both the target and the reference files to your local computer.
- Select Include Source and Reference Files to download the target, the source, and the reference files to your local computer.
- To upload the files, select Upload to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
The translated files are uploaded back to the same folder. You can see a confirmation message on the project tile when the upload is complete.Note: Take into account the following behavior when you upload translated files back to Salesforce Marketing Cloud:
- If a translation for the current DataExtension has already been uploaded beforehand, the Connector clears every row from the existing translation and then adds everything (every row) back to it.
- If there is no previous translation for the current DataExtension, the Connector creates a new DataExtension (sourceTranslation_de-DE.json) when uploading the files and then adds the translated content (every row) to it.
There are two options for integrating translated content:- The translated file is added to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its name is appended with the target language code. For example, User_Guide_fr_FR.docx.
- The translated file is added to Salesforce Marketing Cloud by overwriting the source file.
