Translation projects in Sitecore

The name of each created Sitecore item contains a time stamp, which makes it possible to have several projects with the same name. Sitecore items with the same name are handled by using a Display Name at the level of the Sitecore project.

A project will store several fields, such as:
  • Project Name and Project Creation Date: the name of the project and the date when it was created
  • Project ID: received from RWS after the project is created
  • Project Owner: the user who created the project
  • Source and Destination languages
  • Project Status: in sync with the status of the project in Trados
  • Project Items: the content to be translated, encapsulated in a well-formed XML
  • Project Option ID and Project Option Name: the type of translation in Trados
  • Mantra Long Project ID: the project ID in Trados
  • Project Due Date, Project Cost, Project Delivered (date): RWS-related properties
  • Completed: a well-formed XML containing the text translation in the destination language(s) – received from Trados
