Operations with Completed and Archived projects

Consult the operations you can perform on Completed and Archived projects.

Operations with Completed projects

Projects which are completed can be returned to an In Progress state, which allows you to work on these projects as you would normally do. For example, you can add other source files as new batches that require translation. If you have a completed project which is nearing its archival date, but you would still like to add other file batches on the project, return the Completed project back to In Progress to continue working on it.

If your project has the Completed status, you cannot do the following:
  • Add source files
  • View the Stages tab of a project
  • Modify the project workflow
  • Change due dates for vendor orders
  • Update project settings
  • Bulk operations (like file replacement) on files and tasks from any of the following screens: Inbox and Projects.
  • Perform the following operations on Completed projects, from the Project Groups tab: Set Project back to In Progress, Start.
  • Perform the following bulk operations on tasks which are part of Completed projects: reassign, reschedule, force complete.
If your project has the Completed status, you can still do the following:
  • Add reference files
  • Delete reference files
  • View the data in read-only mode, in all project tabs, except the Stages tab
  • Download translated files
  • Download the project quote
  • Change the quote template (if any) used in the project
  • Edit the information in the Notes tab
  • Add project comments
  • Perform the following operations from the Project Groups tab: Open, Add to project group, Delete, Move to project group, Remove from project group.
  • View statistics of Completed projects on the application Dashboard.

Archived projects cannot be returned to a Completed or In Progress status.
